Mission Statement

American Christian Writers of Ventura County is a group of Christian writers who love the Lord Jesus Christ and want to bring glory to His name through the written word. We are fiction and non-fiction writers who work in many different genres but share a Christian worldview that places Christ at the center of all that we do.

As we hold our biweekly meetings, we aspire to the following:
  • To share the peace, hope, joy, and love that is found in Jesus Christ with those who don't know Him through our written words.
  • To exhort and strengthen other Christians as God speaks to them through the words we write.
  • To be an effective tool in God's hands by studying the craft of writing and continuously perfecting it.
  • To encourage, support and equip each other through formal instruction, critique, and prayer as we refine the gift of writing God has given us.
  • To subscribe to all of the tenets of the historic Christian faith and remain Christ-centered in all that we do.
