The Christian Writer's Workshop chats...

Internet Workshop

Tuesday nights, 10 PM ET (7 PM PT).

Go to http://chat.iuniverse.com
Select the chat rooms link The Conference Rooms logo will show up (be patient; it sometimes takes a minute) In the boxes that show up, enter a Nickname of your choice and the room name #workshop.
(Default room is #lobby, so even if you enter there, you can get to any of the other rooms). Once in the room, you'll see a listing of the rooms on the left, a list of who's in the room you're currently in on the right, and your conversation in the center.

Or, to use Internet Relay chat, use mIRC (Windows) or Ircle (Macintosh).
Connect to chat.iuniverse.com, then "join" to the #workshop chat room.
If you need further assistance, you can CALL 1-888-SCRIBES and get technical support.

Need help? Take a look at the help page at http://chat.iuniverse.com

Protocol notes...

Type ? for a question
Type ! for a comment (requires no response)
Type ga or / at end of question or comment.
Enclose outside comments with parentheses, like (i know what you mean! :) )
The Moderator will call on you in turn.
Once you type ? or !, type your question or comment into your text buffer (as much as it will hold) but DO NOT click SEND or hit RETURN. Wait until the Moderator calls on you. Then send your comment and continue typing if necessary. This speeds up the workshop. Please remember to type / or ga when you are done. This lets the Moderator know he/she can call on the next person instead of waiting for more from you until it's clear you are done.
