Meet the Heartfelt Music hosts...

John and Deanne Davis

THE DAVIS FAMILY

Deanne and John Davis, hosts of "Heartfelt Music" were married April 1, 1967. They have four children and nine grandchildren. John is a self-employed consulting engineer working in the broadcasting industry. Deanne is a writer, motivational speaker, and PR person for a variety of organizations on a volunteer basis. She joined the show a few years ago after helping with the on-the-air fund raising efforts. In 1988 John and Deanne went on the air with KROR-FM, a country music radio station in the Palm Springs area where for six years Deanne was the program director and fill-in disc-jockey and John was General Manager. KROR was sold in 1994 and shortly after that John and Deanne started working together on KPFK.

Patti Simon, John and Deanne's second oldest child, now fills in for them when they are out-of-town. Patti, and her husband Dave, have four children; David, (who is in the Army in Germany) Nicole, Blake, and Luke. Dave owns a collection business. John's step-daughter, Barbara Fearing, has lived in Paris, France for many years with her husband, Craig. Craig is the European field engineer for daVinci, a company that specializes in color correction equipment. The Fearings have three children, daughters Sandi and Diana, who live on the east coast and son Chip who now lives in Santa Cruz. Barbara and Craig have recently bought a house in the South of France and trips are being planned! John and Deanne's oldest daughter, Leah, is an attorney for the County of Los Angeles and has one son, Michael, who married his high school and college sweetheart, Alexandra Kemp, on September 1st, 2000. Son John has four children; Ashley, Chad, Amber and Emily. His son, Zachary, died in a tragic home accident in 1995, just before his second birthday. John is Local Sales Director for KDOC TV. Crissy, the youngest Davis daughter, is Community Moderator for the MoneyLife Channel at http://www.iVillage.com and in September 1999 married Chris Brown. Chris is a computer programmer.

John is a private pilot with an Instrument rating. Deanne has had enough lessons to fly the plane and they enjoy traveling to sunny pla, John and Deanne are very active at their church, Pasadena First Church of the Nazarene, where Deanne sings in the choir. Their joy is "Heartfelt Music" and all the wonderful people, artists and listeners they have met through this program.
